Fancy! Didn’t understand only one ply, but actual cotton and very snazzy.

They are durable and don’t shred or tear like paper cocktail napkins. They don’t feel like cloth [ok, perhaps like starched cloth] and are appropriately stiff and absorbent. They are also .5″ smaller in both dimensions than most paper napkins [4,5″ x 4.5″], making for a better fit between cup and saucer when used for hot beverages, keeping the cup from dripping should there be a bit of an over-pour or should one be jostled. Used between glass and coaster with iced drinks they soak up condensation. I will probably order them again.

I love these little napkins with the very dark black color and the attractive little trim. They look very rich. Paper quality is also very thick and absorbent. I have a coffee service set up in my guest room with these napkins alongside in a caddy. They look nice and protect my furniture if someone sets down a cup. I highly recommend.

Poor quality. Cut of napkins cut and the border within not square (askew) – and despite ordering white, some napkins had a grey hue center and well as other flaws. The reviews I read before ordering were good so maybe I received a defective lot?
