The lamp itself is a good size for a nightstand or side table. It worked right out of the box, and the light level is also good for a bedside lamp. I was happy to see that the kit included an apron. The only reason I didn’t give a higher rating was the paint. It was partially dried out; its consistency was slightly thicker than peanut butter.Fortunately, we had other paint on hand, and my granddaughter had fun painting the lamp.

Such a FUN and crafty way to get the Littles away from a screen! It is well-made and durable enough to be handled by little hands! There were ample choice in colors and the paint dried pretty quickly, it seemed! This lamp has a gentle glow – PERFECT for a night light! My son had a ton of fun painting his very own DINOSAUR and NIGHT LIGHT in one! What a great idea!

This cat lamp was really cute. It was a great craft to do with a 5 year old. The light is very bright when turned on, and everything came packaged very nicely. Box included 2 paint brushes, 3 paint trays and a mix pallet, plus a little apron. The apron was a similar texture to a thick napkin, so we used it to protect the table instead of using it while painting. The cat lamp was a little smaller than I expected (I didn’t read the measurements beforehand), but the kiddo loved it!
